Learn Dothraki With This New ‘Game of Thrones’ App!
While we wait a few more months for Game of Thrones, you can either spend that time binge watching the show because it’s pretty confusing and sometimes you might need to re-watch or re-re-watch it just to keep up OR you could learn Dothraki so that way you’re not looking like this:
Random House has recently released a “Dothraki Companion” app which will let you learn full Dothraki language and not just quotes used in the hit HBO show. The language was created for the series by linguist David J. Peterson who developed the fictional language of the native Dothraki people based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice & Fire book series.
With the new app, which isn’t available for Android devices yet, you can learn up to 300 Dothraki words using flashcards, games, grammar studies and conversational dialogue. Basically, you can now learn how to say, “Jason Momoa, let me love you!” in native Dothraki.
The app isn’t free but it’s totally inexpensive at $0.99. If you don’t have an iOS device, you can always get HBO’s audiobook course here. If you want to download the app right now, head to your iTunes store or click here!
