Fox’s Gotham casts it’s Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle!
Whether people want this project to happen or not, Fox is casting more and more actors for their upcoming series, Gotham.
The studio announced yesterday the two actors who will be playing young Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle, who will grow up to be Batman and Catwoman, respectively. Touch actor David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova will join the cast as the younger versions of the iconic couple as the production for the series begins shooting sometime this month.
Gotham, which focuses on the origin story of Commissioner James Gordon, describes Bruce Wayne as a “preteen sentenced to a solitary life after the tragic murder of his parents,” while Selina is described as “a teen orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A skilled pickpocket and street thief, [she] is pretty dangerous when cornered.”
The two join the cast of Gotham alongside Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean and Jada Pinkett-Smith as Fish Mooney.
The Mentalist screenwriter Bruno Heller wrote the pilot script and will executive produce the series while Nikita‘s Danny Cannon will direct the pilot, which from the work the two have done in the past, may look promising for the series as it’s set to air Fall 2014.
