World of Warcraft Movie Reveals Two More Cast Members
Blizzard is definitely making a point to show that they aren’t messing around when it comes to the upcoming World of Warcraft movie by bringing some major talent on board. The two most recent additions being Daniel Wu and Clancy Brown.
Clancy Brown was originally planned to be the voice of Thrall in the 1998 Warcraft: Lord of the Clans game that was never released. Yep, The Kurgan was going to be the voice of Thrall.
In all honesty I was unfamiliar with Daniel Wu’s work, mostly because the majority of his acting, directing and producing was centered in Hong Kong. He has been working to break through into in North America and has been featured in movies such as Europa Report and The Man With the Iron Fists.
There is no mention as to whether or not these men actually play World of Warcraft, but they are massively talented so I think I can look the other way. (Who knows, maybe they are massive WoW nerds? It could happen, right?)
Its difficult to guess who is being cast for what character role. It seems every film that has featured Brown as a villain has done extremely well, so it is very possible he could be cast as a named Orc. He would also make a convincing Kil’Jaeden so it’s anyone’s guess. The Warcraft lore hasn’t been known to feature a great deal of (human) racial diversity and I am excited to see that they are looking at a fully diverse cast (including some kick ass female roles… I’m hoping to see Agewynn.)
Who do you think Brown and Wu will be cast as? Leave your speculations in the comments!
