World’s First Animated Tattoo

Animated tattoos you say? Logically, it’s the next step. Ever since that cinematic piece of brilliance, Elektra, came out, I’ve always wanted a tattoo that moved around. Even that tattoo chick on Heroes had some animations behind her tattoos.

So needless to say I was expecting a bit more when I first saw this but hey, we gotta start somewhere right? It’s still pretty cool though although I wish they would have animated something just a wee bit more ummm, hardcore?

On June the 16th 2011 Paris based tattoo artist K.A.R.L. realised the first ever animated tattoo. Streamed live on Facebook, users accessed his mind through the Human API, shared his thoughts and influenced the tattoo.

Can he change the content link whenever he wants? If so, he can constantly update his “tattoo” with any information or media he likes. when you think about it, it’s not only the first animated tattoo but also the best potential billboard ever.
