Wizard World Toronto Comic Con 2012
This past weekend GEEKPR0N attended Wizard World Toronto Comic Con 2012. This was Wizard World’s 3rd year coming to Toronto and while it wasn’t as big as some of the other conventions this city has seen, it was still pretty awesome.
WW’s impressive roster of celebrity guests included Jeri Ryan, Amy Acker, Scott Bakula, Sean Maher, Dean Stockwell, Meghan Rath and my celebrity crushes, Sams Witwer and Huntington. I didn’t get a chance to talk to the US cast of Being Human, but I did sneak a couple of totally not allowed photos.
The best part of local conventions is the talent they bring out. Heroes of the World, Washy Kong, Gloomies, Toronto Batman, Harth.TV, Sick on Sin, and Heroes of the North are just some of the homegrown talent brewing in our own backyard. Toronto is a mecca for art and media and you really get to see what the city has to offer when you hang out in the artist alley.
If you didn’t get a chance to hit Wizard World Comic Con this weekend, there is always next year. And trust me, you’ll wanna be there.
