Welcome back to Marvel, Daredevil!

Although there’s not a lot of details yet, one fact is for sure – the Man Without Fear is coming back home to Marvel! Yesterday at the Iron Man 3 press junket Marvel’s President of Production, Kevin Feige, has confirmed that the film rights to Daredevil are indeed back with Marvel.

I’m really happy that Marvel is slowly getting the rights back to many of their franchises like Blade and The Punisher although, getting the rights back doesn’t necessarily guarantee the reboots. Marvel has quite a bit on their plate right now with the upcoming Avengers 2, Thor 2, Cap 2 and Iron Man 3, not to mention the upcoming Ant Man and potentially Luke Cage and Black Panther movies down the road. Oh and let’s not forget the recently announced Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D tv show! Earlier last year there were talks of reboots a-plenty – like director Joe Carnahan’s gritty, 70’s “Serpico” version which would have been fantastic.

One has to wonder where they’ll inject good ol’ Matt Murdock – perhaps a lawyer cameo in one of the upcoming movies or the tv show? That would be kinda neat, although I doubt that would make sense as he usually protected the underdog… hmmm.
