This Week in Geekery July 14th-21st
It’s summer in the city (and the country, and the suburbs.) The Apes are taking the Planet, (or at least they’re taking the theatres). There are conventions around North America, and in Hamilton, ConBravo keeps getting bigger and better. The days may be getting longer, but your nights can be full of geekery too!
Also – your July can be ‘well spent’ by dropping by the Silver Snail on Wednesdays and Saturdays to see artists from the Spent Pencils studios sketching and taking commissions. Prints will also be on sale.

The adventures of the USS Gordon-Levitt

Long form Star Trek inspired improv based on the adventures of one of the Federation’s lesser known crews the USS Gordon-Levitt. This time it’s the Captain’s last tour, so catch it while you can!

Thursday July 17th
7 pm Shorts Not Pants
Carleton Theater (20 Carleton Street at Yonge) $12 at the door.
A film event that celebrates short films from around the world – this specific evening focuses on the weird side, with nine films including “The Perfect Drug”, animated “Mean Teddies”, stop motion short “Never Stop Cycling” amongst other. They also highlight that the theater is both air conditioned AND licenced!
