WATCH: The First Teaser for Agents of S.H.I.E.LD.

And here it is! A first glimpse into the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series comes hot on the heels of the official series pick up announced by ABC on Friday.

It’s only 30 -seconds long but this teaser made every second count jam-packed with hints of what to expect of the new series! The show is framed as a continuation of the adventures we’ve been treated to so far from the latest slate of Marvel superhero films – we even get a glimpse of the Hulk and Captain America’s shield.

Agent Coulson (Coulson Lives!!!) lays it out for us. The show will follow these select agents, led by Coulson and his lovely car Lola, as they take on cases that have not been classified by S.H.I.E.L.D., “the strange, the unknown”… even alien (a little bit of Torchwood anyone?).

As someone who is hesitant to get super psyched over a 30-second teaser-trailer this completely did it for me. It hit all the marks – in 30 seconds it gave us enough exposition that we now understand the basis for the series, who is involved and basically how it was going to work AND it kicked in enough action and humour to set the tone for what we might (hope!) to expect week to week. If this series is what the teaser promises I am head over heels sold and can’t wait for the series!
