An Unplugged Weekend, Round 2

Last year, near the end of September, Unplugged launched their first convention and it was so much fun. It was a small and intimate convention, yet somehow they managed to cram so much into 2 days.  The crowd was heavily populated by anime fans, but there were quite a few gaming nerds hanging out in the games room. If you remember, I wrote an article about the convention and also snagged an interview with Th3 Rogue when she wasn’t dominating Halo 3 multiplayer.

Good news, Unplugged are doing it again this weekend (convention event page), and by the looks of things this year will be bigger and more badass than last. Obviously the basics will be covered, such as performances, sci-fi, gaming, anime, comics and cosplay, as well as some extras. Sailor Moon autograph sessions will be happening as well as a panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of the show! There will also be more workshops, more panels, more guests and a League of Legends tournament. Yes… League of Legends tournament. Hope you are excited, I know I sure am.

Oh, and one last little teeny tiny thing: GEEKPR0N is a featured guest! We will be dressed up as Sailor Scouts with a photobooth set up to take funny (and cheeky) photos with everyone. As well, Th3 Rogue and I are putting the video games down in order to team up and host the event!

I know this is probably too much awesome to handle in one weekend but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. The official Unplugged Expo Party IS the Silver Snail Halloween party, so you can unwind from day 1 and prepare yourself for all the glory of day 2.
