We gave your the rundown on the first 10 films. Are you ready for more?
Here are the remaining 9 feature films to be shown at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival later this month.
Some trailers may be NSFW.
1. THE HALLOW (Ireland)
(Joseph Mawle, Bojana Novakovic, Michael McElhatton, Michael Smiley)
Fairy tale monsters are real and steal a baby and oh god there’s a forest at night help I need an adult. The plot sounds a lot like Labyrinth, but no no no.
2. THE HEXECUTIONERS (Canada)
Two women who help the terminally ill in assisted suicide end up staying in a mansion in the middle of nowhere with…erm…interesting patients.
3. BACKTRACK (AUSTRALIA)
(Adrien Brody, Sam Neill, Robin McLeavy)
Know what would really suck? If you were a psychologist, and you discovered all your patients were ghosts, that died in the same accident twenty years ago, so you went back to your hometown to try to figure out what’s going on. That happens.
4. THE DIABOLICAL (USA)
(Ali Larter, Arjun Gupta, Max Rose, Chloe Perrin, Kurt Carley, Merrin Dungey, Patrick Fischler)
When your house is so haunted that even the local paranormal experts NOPE the heck out of there, it’s up to you and your boyfriend to save yourself, and your children, from the demonic spirits that are keeping you there.
5. GRIDLOCKED (Canada)
***NO TRAILER AVAILABLE***
(Dominic Purcell, Cody Hackman, Danny Glover, Stephen Lang, Trish Stratus)
Cops vs evil mercenaries in this exciting shoot-em-up. Expect lots of explosions.
6. SHUT IN (USA)
***NO TRAILER AVAILABLE***
(Rory Culkin , Leticia Jimenez, Jack Kesy, Timothy T. McKinney)
When you and your criminal buddies break into a seemingly empty house, you better make sure there isn’t a crazy lady who already lives there who decides she wants to play some games.
7. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEB (USA)
(Michael Cassidy, Maria Thayer, Ray Wise, Chris Marquette, Syd Wilder, David Krumholtz)
What would the festival be without a zombie rom-com? Deb’s just not having a good day. People are eating each other’s flesh, and her Mom isn’t the least bit concerned. After all, it’s Virginia Beach, not Florida…
8. THE INTERIOR (Canada)
(Ryan Austin, Jake Beczala, Andrew Hayes, Lucas Mailing)
If you really hate the city, sometimes you want to head out to the woods to get away from it all. By yourself. Really deep into the woods. Because there ABSOLUTELY IS NOT something else out there watching you. Nope. Nothing at all.
9. THE HOLLOW ONE (USA)
(Kate Alden, Jesse James, Chelsea Farthing)
These girls are either really dumb or haven’t ever seen Hellraiser, because basically one of the most important rules of life is NEVER EVER mess with ancient artifacts. You’re gonna have a bad time.
