The Top 5 YouTube Channels You Should be Subscribed to, but Probably Aren’t

It can happen from time to time, one video on YouTube leads to hours of time wasted.

Not that it’s a bad thing, it just means we find something great.  It’s a few easy clicks to fall down the electronic rabbit hole; production goes down, but hilarity and learning goes up.  What about folks who aren’t net savvy?  What about people who always ask, “That was amazing, where did they find that video?”  There is hope, you just need to be pointed in the right direction.

To help you out, we are presenting the Top 5 YouTube Channels You Should be Subscribed to, but Probably Aren’t.   Click on the channel names to have your minds expanded.

#5 Sixty Symbols

Have you ever had a physics questSixty Symbolsion you thought was stupid to ask?  Have you ever wondered what would happen if you stuck your hand in the large Haldron Collider?  If portal guns were real, how would they work in the real world?  One film maker and a whole physics department at the University of Nottingham can help you out.

They produce quick blasts of physics and astronomy, that will make you ask more questions, or pull a good laugh.  If you have questions about the universe, Sixty Symbols is a channel you should subscribe and check out.

Your brain will thank you.

#4 Crash Course

This channel is great becaGreen Brothersuse it’s a potpourri of topics.  If you’re wondering about mental health issues, or your trying to understand why central Africa has been mired in decades of war, (spoiler warning, it’s because of colonialism.)

The Green brothers have several other science based channels on Youtube, (yes that’s John Green, the guy who wrote The Fault in our Stars.)  Crash Course, however, is one that can help fill in the gaps of every day life.  It doesn’t seem like it, but they have a slippery slope of videos.  One interesting topic leads to another, minutes become hours, hours become days, and then you realize you’ve been watching their channel for weeks.  It’s like pulling back a big curtain and watching how the great and incredible Oz works.

If you need an ice breaker, or just were wondering about something in general, Crash Course probably has a video that can keep you informed.

#3 GIF’s With Sound

This is a channelgifs with sound that has to come with a warning.  It can suck away time from anything.  Are you trying to be productive?  GIF’s With Sound will change that for you.  Do you need a great laugh, GWS is the place to go.  The videos are not long, but they bleed into each other.  If you’re not paying attention you’ll lose a whole day.

There are gif’s out there that will make you laugh, or make you shudder.  Fair warning, there is a NSFW element to the channel.  There’s nothing graphic, but some of the songs they use may not have lyrics that are appropriate for the office.  Get those head phones plugged in, and get ready for a good laugh.

#2 Neebs Gaming/Hank and Jed

We cheatedbffslogo on this one.  Yes we added two channels for the second spot, but they’re run by the same guys, and they’re equally funny.  If you’re a fan of Battlefield, you already know who these guys are.  If you’re a fan of Minecraft, you may have a good idea who we’re talking about.

These guys produce amazing videos that are fantastic animation, all the way to gaming streams.  Their series, Battlefield Friends, nails all the jokes you may have about Battlefield, (and BF4 had a lot of things to make jokes about.)  The review of the Saiga 12k gives a Neebs-centric view of what loadouts do well in Battlefield.  They also have an influence on the games they’ve played.  You can unlock a knife with a bi-pod, there’s a Megaladon lurking in the waters, and of course the jeep stuff, all thanks to Neebs Gaming and the Battlefield Friends.

Give them a subscribe, and enjoy their awesomeness.

#1 Glove and Boots

Mario Glove & Bootsand Fafa produce some of the best content on YouTube.  They have a Shorty Award to prove it.  Take that, Justin Bieber’s DJ.  They give advice to tourists on visiting New York City, to what would happen if Santa fought Thor.

There’s something magical about the chemistry between Mario & Fafa.  You want to cheer them on, you want to be absorbed by their references to the 80’s.  It will only take seconds to fall in love with Mario and Fafa.  If you’re not subscribed to them now, you will be.

That’s our list, is there anything we missed?  Is there anyone that should not be up there?  What type of Youtube channels do you subscribe to?  Are you already subscribed to any of these channels?  Let us know in the comments below, or on our Facebook page.

Can you dig it?
