It is time for the Doctor.
The trailer for the Doctor Who Christmas Special has just hit the BBC YouTube channel. This means we all have less than two weeks to prepare ourselves for the last adventure with Matt Smith: The Time of the Doctor. Merry Christmas universe, the BBC is going to make you feel sad.
The trailer showcases the curio cabinet of Whovian villains laying a trap for the Doctor (spoilers,) and it will be the last bow for our beloved eleventh time lord, as he transitions into the era of Peter Capaldi.
Christmas is usually a time for joy and presents; except this time around, the only present Doctor Who fans will get this year is a potential heart ripping regeneration scene.
Matt Smith, thank you for all the amazing adventures.
