The Pull List: New Comic Releases and Top 5 for June 11
It’s that time again folks, for another round of new comic releases! This week’s top 5 features a number of crossovers and a special appearance by a Disney icon!
Figment #1
Disney fans will recognize Figment as a fixture of the Epcot Center. In Marvel’s continuing partnership with Disney, he is front and centre of a steampunk adventure that celebrates the exploration of imagination. It’s being well received in early reviews and in the hands of Jim Zubkavich and Filipe Andrade it is sure to be both charming and entertaining.
Birds of Prey #32
Events in Birds of Prey have all been leading to this: when secrets are kept from Black Canary it comes down to the Birds of Prey versus the Suicide Squad! What else is there to say?
Uncanny X-Men Special
This is the second title to see big character cross-overs this week. When Cyclops is kidnapped, the X-Men will cross paths with not only Nova but Iron Man as well. As far as I’m concerned the promise of incorporating all of those characters is more than enough reason to pick up this title.
Infinity Man and the Forever People #1
DC’s new title focuses on Infinity Man, an entity that stands between humanity’s survival and destruction. It begins with students from New Genesis working on Earth when they discover a threat so great it is a danger to the multiverse!
Original Sins #1 (of 5)
If you’ve been reading (you should be) and enjoying Marvel’s big summer event Original Sin, you’ll definitely want to check out this limited series. The murder of the Watcher means that all the secrets he held are now in the hands of someone else. Now that they are beginning to come to light, this series will give you a look into what those secrets are.
