The Evolution of Televisons over the Past 10 Years

Since I’m always writing about what’s on TV I thought I’d mix it up and throw in a post about TVs.

Television recently celebrated 74th birthday on September 7th! The first television set was created by Philo Farnsworth in 1927, a far cry from the wide-spread commercial product we enjoy today. Since then television sets, programming and viewing habits have continued to evolve always changing with new technology and new age. These days social engagement and web based programming have been the hot trends. But that’s what’s now & what’s up next.

Let’s take a look at the past 10 years in this fun infographic that explains the details of how the technology and pricing behind television sets have evolved over the past ten years.

Where can we get 42 inch, and what brand will last at least ten years or more for a good price. My Samsung 52″ went 5 years and now it freezes up,comes back on,then the sound is gone, freezes back up,but if i un plug it from the wall and waite a few minutes it will play most of the day..

  2. I’ve never heard of that happening, so strange. Sounds like maybe a bad ground? I’ve always had really good luck with my Samsung Plasma. I would get an LED tv which should last you up to 10 years. The quality is amazing.
