Street Fighter & Flappy Bird Get The Sesame Street Treatment.

Sesame Street is EVERYWHERE. Everywhere. On all the things.

Recently, it’s leaked into a very popular game…well two popular games.

First up, we have…ugh…Flappy Bert.

The accursed smartphone game from the deepest pits of Hell was spoofed by Sesame Street itself, targeting it at a younger audience on your web browser, and apparently making it easier. I haven’t tried it yet. I’m not going to. I have enough stress in my life right now and if I can’t beat a child’s version of Flappy Bird I’ll probably hate myself even more.

The original Flappy Bird is gone forever. Thankfully. Lives were ruined. Many swear jars were overflown.

Wanna play Flappy Bert? Here you go.

Next up we have a much less rage-inducing game, the iconic and classic Street Fighter. Sesame Street Fighter.

FlavourMachine is responsible for this awesome mashup. Inspired by the art of Matt Crane, SSF lets you fight Street Fighter style, using Sesame Street‘s version of the characters.  Here’s a list of who you can play:

  • Cookie Monster as E. Honda
  • Grover as Dhalsim
  • Oscar The Grounch as Blanka
  • Elmo as M. Bison
  • Bert as Ryu
  • Ernie as Ken

Pretty cool, huh? Well get this – it’s also educational! To beat up your opponent, you have to type the words that appear on the screen. Now you can get your gaming on while learning how to spell!

I know you want to play this one, so go nuts.
