The First Look at RoboCop’s Modern-Day Makeover

I don’t typically get too excited for remakes of classic films, but hot damn…this new trailer for RoboCop left my jaw sitting on the floor.

While it may appear as though RoboCop was kidnapped onto the Remakes-of-Classic-Films bandwagon, I have to say that, in my opinion, director José Padilha seems to be swerving it into a much more awesome route. With a kick-ass cast (I squealed like a little girl when I saw Michael Keaton on the screen), pretty acceptable effects (I mean, holy freaking amazing RoboCop getup, right?), and an interesting, updated feel to the storyline, we might actually have a promising film in our near future…as in February 2014.

Don’t get me wrong. Nothing could ever replace the dark, gory cult-classic that was 1987’s Robocop. However, I am embracing this new chapter with an open mind.

I want everyone to watch it pronto so I’ll keep the jibber jabbering to a minimum. Check out the trailer and leave your feedback below.
