Robin Williams Passes Away
The world lost a treasure on Monday. Robin Williams passed away at his home, in an apparent suicide, at the age of 63.
The news of his death has broken hearts around the world. Even Barrack Obama released a statement to comment on Williams’ death.
He made us laugh. He made us cry. He ended up touching every element of the human spirit. #RIPRobinWilliams pic.twitter.com/kbEq7OwPOf

Why does this one hit us so hard?
Williams was one of the nice guys.
He was someone you could always count on to bring a smile to your face. He was our security blanket, our nest. If we were having a bad day, it wouldn’t be hard to pop in one of his movies, or stand up routines, or stream his television shows, and find our smile again.
Williams first broke into television on Happy Days with his iconic character, Mork. The Julliard trained comedian then was launched into our collective zeitgeist with multiple stand up shows, Mork and Mindy, playing Peter Pan in Hook, and an award winning psychiatrist in Good Will Hunting, to name a few. This will not be the last we see of Robin Williams.
He will appear as Theodore Roosevelt in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. It is currently in post production, and scheduled for release on December 19th, 2014. However, he was a man who smiled as he battled.
According to his press representative, Mara Buxbaum, Williams had been fighting depression after a recent return to a rehabilitation program.
It’s that fact which hurts us all. How could a man, who made the world laugh, turn on himself? The loss of Williams is a time for reflection, and a time to honour the amazing life that he had. It is also a time to recognize in ourselves, and our loved ones, that mental illness is a hidden danger, waiting to come out at the worst times.
Robin Williams is survived by his third wife, Susan Schneider, and his three children: Cody, Zelda, and Zachary.
Thank you for all the laughs and smiles.
Bang-a-rang, Mr. Williams, Bang-a-rang.
