Reaper of Souls Collector’s Edition Announced
Today the hearts of many swell with the amazing news that Diablo III: Reaper of Souls has an official release date (March 25th, 2014) and it will have a Collector’s Edition available for purchase.
Did you hear that? It was a collective sigh of relief.
It was rumoured earlier that there would not be a CE version of the D3 expansion because RoS was a fairly short Act. This rumour was a huge disappointment because Diablo was beginning to redeem itself. We all know the PC version was lack-luster (to say the least), but with the changes implemented within the console version of the game things were looking up. We may not be ready to forget, but we were starting to forgive.
Since the CE has been confirmed, everything feels right in the universe.
Have you ever seen an Undead this happy? It’s bad for my rep but I couldn’t contain myself.
You can expect the contents to follow Blizzard’s usual CE formula, with (what I am hoping will be) a bad ass Malthael mouse pad, a hard cover art book and a behind the scenes Blu-Ray/DVD 2 disc set. There will also be an adorable treasure goblin pet for World of Warcraft, a spectral hound companion and transmog gear for Diablo III, and new portraits and decals for Starcraft II.
Look at him. Look at this gold grabbing grubby little goblin and try to tell me he is anything but cute. Just try.
