The Pull List: New Comic Releases and Top 5 for August 27

There’s a lot going on in the Marvel Universe right now. Original Sin is about to wrap up and Wolverine is on death’s door so it’s understandable that they’ve got a pretty exciting line up. This week’s Top 5 focuses on some of Marvel’s big reveals.

Wolverine #12

This is the series finale and One Month to Die will wrap up. Sabertooth will bring the fight to Wolverine and hit him where it hurts by choosing a meaningful venue, one that’s sure to shake Logan up.

All-New X-Men #34

One of the greatest things about the All-New X-Men series is the interplay of the original X-Men with their future selves. Iceman has had a particularly tough time looking into the future mirror so the promise of his letting loose sounds like a lot of fun. Not to mention the intrigue of the burgeoning relationship between Warren and Laura.

All-New Invaders #9

Original Sin has thrown a huge wrench in the interpersonal relationships of Marvel’s heroes. This issue will bring Captain America face to face with Namor, the question is how will Cap react to the newly revealed secrets? On top of that, every Deathlok in the Marvel Universe is featured in this story and Marvel is teasing that it will be “the last Luther Manning” story.

Avengers #34

In the wake of Original Sin, the Avengers’ world will fall apart. The secrets revealed will put new strains on the team. Can Earth’s Mightiest Heroes keep it together or will the super team self-destruct?

Guardians of the Galaxy #18

Did you read the 2008 Guardians run? Then you need to pick up this issue! Even if you didn’t, let me catch you up. Before the Guardians started their current adventures, Star Lord and Nova heroically sacrificed themselves to save the Universe. They threw themselves into the “cancerverse” and they should not have survived, but Peter Quill is still kicking and this issue will tell us how.
