Magneto #5
Magneto has always been an intriguing villain in the Marvel Universe, but in his own book he’s become an anti-hero using vigilante justice to safeguard mutant-kind the only way he knows how; by mercilessly striking at each and every threat.
Batman Eternal #9
Batman Eternal is a weekly book being written in a collaborative fashion. I’m enjoying its new perspective on the Dark Knight because it defines Batman by everything around him. The title focuses on Gotham’s villains, police and Batman’s allies more than the Bat himself.
Moon Knight #4
Moon Knight is an underrated hero and in his new Marvel NOW! title, he is restyled to be even cooler then he was before. The book weaves gang violence with supernatural intrigue and I have really been enjoying it.
Rise of the Magi #1
This new book takes place in a world where the realms of reality and the supernatural not only coexist, but they need each other to survive. The story kicks off when a denizen of the world of magic discovers that the spell that binds the two realms together has been stolen.
Original Sin #3
This is the third book in Marvel’s big summer event. After Uatu the Watcher’s murder, characters from all over Marvel are scrambling to solve the mystery. I was surprised by a couple of the revelations in book 2, and am excited to see how the story ultimately affect the shape of the Marvel U.
