Ottawa Pop Expo 2014
Ottawa Pop Expo in the EY Centre was the place to be last weekend. This was their 2nd annual event and you wouldn’t know it still had new car smell because it went very well!
I had been invited to attend by the Doctor Who Society of Canada and Canadian Dalek Empire, who were guests and raising money to go towards equipment for CHEO‘s Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. Who was I to say no? So I grabbed my Clockwork Droid Cosplay and made it a point to freak out as many attendees as possible in the process.
While I was running around, I asked Robert Picardo if he’d like to come visit our booth. He obliged and we had some fun interaction with the Daleks, K-9’s and TARDIS. For those that don’t know him, he was best known for his role as the Emergency Medical Hologram or ‘The Doctor’ from Star Trek: Voyager and an absolutely wonderful, funny and super friendly man.

The Doctor Who Society/Canadian Dalek Empire raised over $2000 for CHEO at the event!!
