New Riddick pic released for upcoming third movie
Ok am I the only one that saw the potential in Chronicles of Riddick? I loved Pitch Black and thought the story was great, and who doesn’t like a badass merc anti-hero that kicks everyone and anything’s ass and can see in the dark? Well, we all know how that sequel turned out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a fan, I just thought Chronicles could have been cut so much better. That’s just my opinion.
To be honest, I’m looking forward to this third installment and I’m really hoping it turns out to be a great addition and hopefully the best entry into the franchise.
David Twohy (Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick) is back in the writer/director chair.
Synposis:
The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.
Coming to theaters September 6, 2013.
I was actually really pleased with Chronicles. I saw Pitch Black Randomly when my dad was bored on movie night and just grabbed it because he liked the cover of the DVD. From there I was a Vin Diesel Fan. When I first saw a Preview for Chronicles I flipped out, while maintaining my manliness of course. >.>
Chronicles was a completely different movie and wasn’t what I expected but I still liked the movie even if the ending didn’t feel right. Now with he third Film I’m excited, but wondering if it will be a different type of movie like the Chronicles was to Pitch Black.
