New Prometheus Trailer

Ok, so who’s excited for Ridley Scott’s “supposed” prequel to Alien, Prometheus? I know I am! Why? Because it’s all true. Yep, this is what 2012 has in store for us kids. Aliens. So get ready, pack your apocalypse bags and enjoy the ride ’cause those little bio-mech grays are coming for us!

For those of you in the dark, Prometheus tells the story of the “Space Jockey” that the crew find in the movie Alien (1979) when they discovered the ship. There was speculation in the beginning whether or not this was an official “prequel” however after the fictional TED talk by Peter Weyland of Weyland Industries (the fictional company behind the crew of the Alien movies), it’s safe to assume that it is indeed a prequel set in the same universe.

Synopsis:

In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system’s natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.

Ridley Scott, director of ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
