Ms. Marvel Coming Soon to a Screen Near You!
No, she’s not joining the MCU, but Marvel Television has confirmed that Kamala Khan will be appearing on the next season of Avengers Assemble (soon to be retitled Avengers: Ultron Revolution). Also appearing next season? “Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man” – all characters with films coming up. At this point it’s probably too much to hope that Kamala will be making her way to the big screen, but putting her name next to these heavily-promoted names shows that Marvel wants Kamala to have a healthy fanbase. Then again, they could also simply be aware that Kamala’s already got a huge following – Ms. Marvel is the company’s top digital seller. Since Ms. Marvel has appeal for a younger audience, it makes a lot of sense to introduce her to viewers of Marvel’s animated content.
Hopefully a live-action appearance won’t be too far behind! The official series synopsis sounds like it’s got a healthy dose of movie promotion, so maybe a Kamala movie-cameo isn’t too far-fetched after all:
In season three of “Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution,” the Avengers are not only shocked by the return of a vengeful Ultron, but they also encounter new threats like Baron Zemo, the Masters of Evil, the Inhumans, and the futuristic Kang the Conqueror. It’s only with the help of heroes like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and Ms. Marvel that they have a chance of surviving an all-out Marvel super hero Civil War.
