Tons of movie news was announced and new footage was premiered at San Diego Comic Con. Check out this round up of trailers, posters and movie news from Man of Steel, Iron Man 3 (and other Marvel movie scoop, hang in there it’s at the bottom!), Oz: The Great and Powerful, Pacific Rim and more.

The trailer for Sam Raimi’s OZ: The Great and Powerful debuted at Comic Con. The prequel to The Wizard of Oz boasts a stacked cast including James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, and Zach Braff. OZ is expected to hit theatres March 8, 2013.

Man of Steel, the new Superman film by Zach Snyder starring Henry Cavill as the man himself, premiered new footage at Comic Con that will be unveiled widely at Dark Knight screenings beginning this weekend. Comic Con did bring a new poster for the film due to hit theatres June 2013.

In Man of Steel, Clark Kent roams the world covering various news stories, and finds himself compelled to intervene with his super powers in a crisis in West Africa. He also returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be. (Read more)

Everyone can stop holding their breath. Yes, the Total Recall remake will have a three breasted woman.

Peter Jackson displayed new footage from The Hobbit at a normal speed of 24 frames per second after a previous presentation in 48 (frames per second) that creating images that created a divide among viewers, some praising the lush beauty and others complaining that the clarify of image was distracting. New footage from Pacific Rim, the upcoming sci-fi epic from director Guillermo Del Toro starring Charlie Humman, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day, was premiered at Comic Con.

A title card: “We created monsters.” The reel cuts to shots of a monster with giant claws destroying gold en gate bridge. Massive claws ripping away at the structure while fighter jets try to shoot it down. Cutting back to the Pacific Rim base, soldiers suit up in the crazy, colorful base, preparing to man giant robots. Strapping on futuristic white battle suits (Mac?), the robot squad steps inside the mech to operate together. It takes two people to man the bot, which mimics there movements. There isn’t much new from The Hunger Games at this point but some extras from the DVD/Blu-Ray special features were debuted.

Godzilla made a surprise appearance at the WB panel unveiling new poster art and new footage for the upcoming reincarnation. Read the description of the footage.

Marvel officially confirmed the Guardians of the Galaxy film with the new roster at Comic Con giving it the release date of August 1, 2014. To which Ginger Haze says: “On the subject of Guardians of the Galaxy, all I have to say right now is…they had the option of putting more than one lady on the team, and they didn’t.” Yep.

Iron Man 3 – Ben Kingsley is officially confirmed as the Mandarin plus the new suit was unveiled. The film will be released May 13, 2013.

Ant-Man: Edgar Wright debuted test footage but the film is still to be confirmed.
