Morena Baccarin Joins Deadpool as Female Lead

Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Homeland, The Flash & Gotham) joins Deadpool as the female lead alongside Ryan Reynolds who will be Deadpool according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tim Miller is directing the film and it also stars T.J. Miller and Gina Carano. The film is based on a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, while Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner are going to be producing it. Currently, you can catch Baccarin in Gotham and the voice of Gideon on The Flash.

A big list of actresses were being considered for this female lead, but ultimately it went to Baccarin. No word yet on her characters name, we know she’s playing a love interest…but who exactly? Anyone who knows a lot about Deadpool and potential love interest characters she might play have already started naming names! Who do you think she’ll be playing?
