McDonalds Adventure Time Toys Forgot About The Girls. ALL OF THEM.

McDonalds…FOR SHAME. Since I was little, getting a Happy Meal toy was the best thing about going to your restaurants. My favourite was the Super Mario Bros 3 Collection. I had them all.

Recently, it was brought to my attention that you were releasing Adventure Time toys. THAT’S SO RAD! One would exclaim. Except…what the babies? half the characters are missing.

Where’s Peebles? LSP? Marcy? Lady Rainicorn? WHERE IS TREE TRUNKS, MCDONALDS!?

The fast food behemoth failed to include any female members of the show. You know, main, important characters which often have story arcs revolving around them. Stuff like that.

But wait, didn’t they just separate the girl characters and label them as girls’ toys, like usual?

Ha. Funny you ask. While the boy’s toys are Finn, Jake, BMO, and Ice King, over on the girls’ side we get…

NO. NO I WILL NOT CLICK TO SEE HOW THEY WORK.

Paul Frank.

PAUL. FUCKING. FRANK. THAT STUPID MONKEY.

Not impressed, McDonalds. I mean, I’d understand if the girls were background characters not so much actually featured ON the show (like Princess Toadstool in the early Super Mario Bros. games), but…THESE CHARACTERS ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT TO THE SHOW AS THE MALE CHARACTERS.

Is Paul Frank even relevant anymore? I think my sister had pajama pants with that monkey on it or something, like, 15 years ago. And besides…those bracelets ugly, girl. Just don’t.

For crap’s sake.

I’m normally one to avoid gender issues like the plague, because I live outside of Tumblr, but this is a massive error in judgement. Adventure Time has never been one to solidify gender ANYTHING. Fionna and Cake, anyone?  Girls like Adventure Time too. A lot. Ignoring that entire demographic is pretty ignorant and I honestly hope the response becomes enough for something to be done about it.

I don’t know about you, but I want some Adventure Time Princesses in my Happy Meal, STAT.
