It’s Official an Avengers Sequel is a go

Are you Ready for Avengers 2? Re-Avengers? Avenged Again?

In what might be the biggest piece of “well duh” news of the week Robert Iger, CEO of Disney confirmed in a conference call today that there will in fact be a sequel to the Joss Whedon helmed Avengers film that earned over $200 million in North America alone on opening weekend.

Of course there’s still Iron Man 3, Thor 2, a second Captain America film and a possible Hulk solo flick before the Avengers assemble once more in another mega-Marvel-blockbuster.

After The Avengers record-breaking opening weekend Disney is on a roll with the Marvel films that are set to be a summer staple for the foreseeable future.

Are you thrilled at the news that we’ll be seeing all our favourite heroes back together on the big screen? Anyone out there surprised? Would you like to see Joss Whedon take the reigns on more Marvel films?
