Heroes Get the Axe in Ex-Men

“Do you have any idea how many of the X-Men fly and do something else incredible? You just fly!”

Professor X is harsh but hilarious in new web series “Ex-Men” from late-night talk show host Pete Holmes.

“Ex-Men” follows Professor X as he evaluates, and subsequently fires, each of the X-Men for a variety of strikingly valid reasons, such as Wolverine’s motorcycle being more useful than he is, and the fact that Angel’s only power is flying.

Holmes has been tearing through the team, firing seven X-Men so far with Cyclops promised to be next on the chopping block, which should be deliciously brutal.

Pete Holmes plays Professor X in each skit, who you may recognize from the equally hilarious “Badman” sketch series on College Humor or, more obviously, as the host of “The Pete Holmes Show” on TBS. Though he can be a little long-winded sometimes, each firing has as much hilarity as it does valid observations about the weaknesses of the X-Men characters. Hell, even Hugh Jackman approves.
