Hannibal Season 2 Trailer.

It’s good to see you again, Dr. Lecter.

The trailer for season two of Hannibal has hit YouTube.  It dumps us all back into the psychological miasma of the Chesapeake Ripper.  The trailer, like the first season, is nothing but scenes of shudder inducing horror.  The writers for the show do an amazing job of letting us watch the spectacle play out from back stage.

We all get to be in on the secret, we all get to give a wink and a nod about Dr. Lecter, we all get to be horrified as we watch it unfold in front of us; as always, we’re powerless to stop it.  It’s also great foreshadowing.

Like every great trailer should do, it leaves us with more questions than answers.  Has Jack Crawford figured it out? Does Gillian Anderson’s character, Dr. DuMaurier, know what Hannibal is?  Where did the modern corpse floor art come from?  The trailer will shock and stun you, while leaving you wanting more.

Hannibal is not light television watching.  Mads Mikkelsen’s role as Hannibal does everything to send shivers down your spine and to make sure you keep the lights on at night.  It will suck you in to the mind of a mad man.  It will make you start to question everything that is eaten at a dinner table.  In short, it’s not light watching, but it’s worth watching.

Oh Dr. Lecter, how we enjoy the nightmares you give us.
