GEEKY GIFTS FOR FATHER’S DAY
As a pure bred geeky father of two, finding gifts for a geek dad that they’d like can be a tricky. Especially if your partner is not familiar with geeky/nerdy items. I compiled a short list of geeky presents that most dads of the geek persuasion would love to get for Father’s Day.

Doctor Who – Vortex Manipulator Watch
Why worry about where you left the TARDIS, now you can time travel with your own personal time machine strapped to your wrist. Well you can’t but now you can pretend you do, with this prop. Although similar to the Underground toys version, this is completely different from the material housing the unit, and the unit itself. This actually has a small built in digital clock that can be set. It also has some sound effects to pretend your traveling through time. I personally think it looks stylish, and I own this myself, but I know a few geek dads that would want this too.
Superhero Hoodies & Costume Hoodies
Even though summer hasn’t officially started, it’s already hot as hell out. But in the evenings it still gets cool. So why not stay warm on those cooler nights by pretending to be your favorite Super hero. There are so many to choose from, that I can’t decide. I’m thinking that I have to get a Chewbacca one. Cause you always let the wookie win.
LEGO – “Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! (70816)”
If you haven’t seen “The LEGO movie” you won’t get the reference, BUT…. if you’re a person who grew up with Space Lego, you’ll enjoy building this with or without your kids. I love this set more than words can imagine. It really is an incredible Lego set that will make you feel like a kid again.
Geeky Programmable TV remote.
I’ve seen a few of these TV remotes before, but these ones listed here are beyond cool. The Magic Wand, you need to learn to use it as if you’re casting a spell at your TV. I personally would choose the Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver versions, available in both 10th & 11th Doctor versions. I know people who do the Doctor costumes, and at various events they pull out these TV remotes to turn TVs that are there on and off. It’s too much fun to see people’s reactions as to how they turn off.

Walking Dead: Michonne’s Katana
For the dad who loves The Walking Dead. Arm your father up with Michonne’s Katana. It’s just that awesome. Please kill zombies humanely. But that would look awesome hanging on anyone’s wall.
THE EGO’S CHOICE!!! – R2-D2 – USB Car Charger
I like this for a great number of reasons. It’s not something I would buy for myself, but I’d love to get it as a gift. Now you can have R2D2 actually be your co-pilot as you zoom across the city, and charge your phone. R2 fits in most cup holders and makes sound effects from the movie. WHO WOULDN’T WANT R2 BY YOUR SIDE!?! I stand corrected, if I don’t get this for Father’s Day this year…. I’ll be buying this for my car.
