The Flash: The Future Revealed
It has been a great week for The Flash. The scarlet speedster’s show is on hiatus until April 14th, 2015. However, that doesn’t mean we are left without goodies for the upcoming episodes.
If you haven’t been following The Flash, follow it, watch it, consume it, just absorb the whole thing into yourself.
Take some time, are you done yet?
Good, let’s continue.
The inaugural season of The Flash has been fantastic. While Arrow has been dark and gritty, The Flash is four colour super heroes all the way. Not only do the producers play with the idea of super powered people, they embrace it. Whereas Felicity tries to be serious, and Diggle thinks about security; Barry has fun, Cisco names the villains. That’s what this season has been, fun.
The team up teasers they have been showing are gearing up for everything we want it to be. The Atom, The Arrow, Firestorm, a mini Justice League is being formed, and they’re doing it right.
Of course, we can not forget the Easter eggs, and there are plenty. One of the things that makes The Flash great for super nerds are all the subtle treats layered into the show. If you want a great analysis of the hidden treasures, GeekprOn writer Diana has a great show on Youtube that covers each episode of The Flash. It’s a great compliment to the show. Go check out the channel and subscribe to them. They do a great job at going over the episodes with delicious nerd talk.
One of the more intriguing rumours is that there may be a appearance from a Justice League member at the end of season one. If you like to live in the world of conspiracy theory, we may be seeing Krypton’s favourite son land on screen. We can start with Jesse L. Martin wearing a Superman hat when he sang the Firefly theme song; when the Atom shows up in Central City, someone drops the line, “What’s that in the sky? A bird? A plane?” There’s also the teasers where Barry runs to catch a bullet, to which we ask, “Is he faster than a speeding bullet?” He is, but now he’s infringing on some trademarks from Metropolis.
We have the team ups, we have the Reverse Flash, we have a potential Superman appearance, we have the Rogue’s Gallery coming in, on top of all that stuff, we still have Gorilla Grodd to jump in to.
Check out the trailer that was released at WonderCon, and let the giddy feelings come rushing in. This is going to be a great run to the season finale.
