Elder Scrolls Online is real.
If you’re anything like me, one of the main reasons you can not get into Skyrim is the sheer loneliness. A vast terrain fraught with dragons and no one to share your glory with.
That’s about to change.
The long rumored Elder Scrolls Online turns out to be real and I can think of a few people who are probably nerdgasaming all over their Daedric armor from the news. Set 1000 years before the events of Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online takes place on the continent of Tamriel, where the evil Prince Molag Bal is waiting to fuck your shit up.
Game director, Matt Firor had this to say about the project:
It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.
The best MMO ever made? That’s a bold statement but, it could be true. If they have any hope in hell of taking on MMO giants like Guild Wars 2, SWTOR or WOW, Bethesda better have something mind-blowinginly awesome up their sleeves.
Elder Scrolls Online will offer the standard open world play, solo quests, public dungeons, and PVP. The best part? ESO will be available to both PC & Mac users. You just better make sure you’re rocking at least a Mac Book pro before you even attempt to play this. We all know what amazing gaming rigs apple computers make.
Can you feel the sarcasm?
What do you think? Are you willing to sink hundreds of hours into another MMO?
Hmmmm…. I think I’ll decide when gameplay footage comes out….
