The Doubleclicks’ musical salute to Agent Coulson
The Doubleclicks, “a nerd-folk-sister-duo” (their words not mine) from Portland have two studio albums and three EPs in their current discography. For November, they’ve been uploading weekly songs to their YouTube channel “ https://www.youtube.com/user/thedoubleclicks” . They also can be seen at several conventions. They have been recording together since 2010, focusing on cello and ukulele and the occasional cat piano (you’ll have to hear it to believe it).
Angela and Aubrey sing to celebrate their geeky interests. And what diversified interests they have! The songs topics range from the literary (Oh, Mr. Darcy), to Star Trek (Ode to Spot, a musical version of Data’s poem to his cat), to dinosaurs (both Dimetrodon & Velociraptor), to space travel (Imposter) , grammar (Apostrophe), being a female geek (Nothing to Prove), and comic book characters.
They now have a fabulous song dedicated to what started as a cameo character in the Marvel Movie ‘verse. It’s a character who is super without powers. Of course I’m talking about “Agent Coulson.”
Hey don’t take my word for it –

No matter how you’re geeky, The Doubleclicks probably have a song that will make you grin. If you believe that there are no fake geek girls, definitely check out their “Nothing to Prove”.
