Cosplay interview – Alberti
Cosplayer Alberti has been crafting costumes since 2006. This Russian cosplayer from Novosibirsk has created many details oriented works, including some amazing Warhammer 40 000 creations. I got to ask her a few quick questions about costumes and conventions.
1. Which aspect of cosplay creation do you prefer: making garments, creating accessories, crafting props, makeup/prosthetics, etc?
It depends, but usually props and accessory making is my favourite.
2. Name a skill that you excel at? Name a skill that you would like to improve?
I definitely excel at striking out how to use a random thing from closet in current cosplay, asap. As for improving, I think my accurateness needs some work.
3. Is there a convention you have always wanted to attend but couldn’t? Which one and why do you want to go?
I can’t name a specific convent but I’ve always wanted to attend a foreign convent, especially in USA, Canada, or Asia, to compare how it organized and the general approach to cosplay.
4. How much has cosplay affected your daily life?
Yes, sometimes it affects on my schedule. I have to adjust my activity timetable, and even cut down time for sleep. But then, I obtained nice skill of making minor repairs in home by myself.
5. What is your next big project or challenge?
I want to make another Warhammer 40 000 dream cosplay
