Cherry Valance is a pseudonym for Jaclyn Bates, a Canadian artist and model. Valance has a Bachelors Degree in Visual Art with a Minor in Art History and Art Theory. She currently works at a comic book shop specializing in alternative and independent graphic novels while pursuing personal art projects and modeling for local art professionals.

She supports safe spaces for marginalized groups within fandoms and is thankful for the support of her friends in the cosplay community.
