Converse ‘Warrior’ Wrestling Video

Converse (yes the company that makes your shoes) has branched out to include some really awesome music projects.  “Three Artists, One Song” is a series which has seen interesting groups of musicians getting together to write, record and make a music video. So far Converse has artists like Matt & Kim/Andrew WK/Soulja Boy and James Murphy/Andre 3000/Gorillaz, but this latest combo really takes the cake by way of a pretty amazing collab.

Keep reading to watch ‘Warrior’ which features Mark Foster (Foster The People) and DJ A-Trak facing off as reluctant luchadors while they are serenaded by a mariachi band fronted by the so-hot-right now chanteuse, Kimbra.

The track is something of a miracle, having been recorded separately across 21 cities and four continents which according to Foster, “has got to be some kind of a record.” But Kimbra and Foster The People will be touring together this summer, so there will be plenty of chances for them to play the song live. Will they be re-enacting the ‘Warrior’ video, leotards and all? “Ooh, I don’t know about that” laughed Kimbra.
