Here Comes Anime North!

Get ready folks, because one of the biggest conventions that Canada has is back for another exciting installment this weekend: the one and only Anime North!

This weekend, tens of thousands of nerds will flock to the Toronto Congress Centre in our annual pilgrimage to conquer the airport district and confuse people driving by with our candy-colored wigs and bizarre Japanese dance moves.

Boasting one of the biggest attendee turnouts for an event of its kind in Canada (with 23, 700 attendees at last year’s event!), going to Anime North is like coming home for many con-goers, artists, vendors and even event staff and volunteers. The convention’s main attractions, other than the stellar cosplayers, consist of a dealer’s room packed full of awesome merchandise from all your favourite series, a jaw-dropping artist’s alley, as well as plenty of concerts, dances, cosplay competitions and games!

While weekend and Saturday passes are already sold out, day passes for Friday and Sunday are still available for purchase at the door. If you still want to come mingle with your countrymen, make sure to get there early to line up!

GEEKPR0N’s own lovely Jen will be there through out the weekend as well, looking for amazing costumes to photograph and bringing you coverage of events and other geeky fun through out the weekend. Be sure to say hi to her!
