Burning Chrome
It’s a perfect combo; two ambitious young ladies, a love for obscure electronic music and a desire to spread it to the people! Burning Chrome is the name of the second Friday of the month’s underground Rhythmic Noise and related electronic music night in Toronto.
Noise music is the electronic bastard child of post-punk Industrial and Ambient genres that branches into a variety of similar threads such as Power Noize, Rhythmic Noize, Tribal Noize, IDM, Breakcore, and Glitch. It’s as underground as it gets but retains a danceable beat even if that beat is often harsh and gritty. But that’s perfect for a Friday night when you want to get all that work week aggression out!
Run by music mavens and DJ’s Synescape and Skeletal Kitten, the appropriately decaying but warm “Devil’s Cellar” (2872b Dundas St. West) is the night’s head quarters in the heart of Toronto’s Junction neighborhood.
The next Burning Chrome is scheduled for December 14th and features a live performance by Computerus!
