Awake Sneak Peak now in Canada: Watch the FULL first Episode NOW
Remember Awake, NBC’s highly anticipated mid-season drama with a major sci-fi-ish twist that I’ve been raving about recently? It’s part emotional thriller, crime drama and part alternate reality adventure.
Awake has it’s official premiere date set for March 1st at 10pm. Following in the footsteps of New Girl which had an “all format” (except TV) advance premiere, and Smash after that, Awake received an online exclusive premiere in the U.S. last weeks. Now that full length episode preview has been extended to our Great White North. Though we’re lagging behind out our friends to the south just a little bit, we can now watch the full first episode of Awake online (legally and free) weeks before the series begins it’s regular run.

After Detective Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs, Harry Potter, The Patriot) wakes up from a car accident, he learns the that his wife (Laura Allen, Terriers) died in the crash; but then he wakes up a few days later to realize that his wife is very much alive and his son (Dylan Minnette, Lost) died in the accident. Michael goes back to work solving crimes while alternating between realities – one moment he and his wife are grappling with having another child to replace their loss, and the next moment he finds himself as a single father who’s attracted to his son’s tennis coach (Michaela McManus, The Vampire Diaries) to fill the void from the loss of his wife.
