Tim Timebomb’s Rock N’ Roll Theater Has Landed
Tim Armstrong’s latest endeavour has finally launched just in time for Halloween. The much anticipated Rocky Horror meets Twilight Zone kitsch factor is definitely there and with tunes written by the Rancid frontman, the music is rad. Sadly, Tim still sounds like he’s had a few too many strokes in his attempts to pay homage to Rod Serling but the show itself is a hoot.
Lars Frederiksen plays the title role, ‘Dante’, the high powered CEO of a major corporation. Dante is evil to the core and after waking up from a freak elevator accident we get to witness his visit to Hell…and beyond. Davey Havok steals the show as the devil, and makes me scratch my head wondering if he’s a punk rock Hugh Jackman…who knew he had the musical theatre chops? There was also no shortage of eye candy, from the sets to the girls (and boy, were there ever girls!) you don’t want to blink for a single moment.
