Like A Rapping Stone

I’m pretty sure it’s a rule that teenagers have to defy their parents and grandparents. I mean, if my parents had been into punk rock instead of Rick James, I would have probably wanted to become a top 40 pop star just to defy them. Well, Bob Dylan himself is no exception as his 15 year old grandson, Pablo Dylan is now a full fledged rap artist. Pablo has nothing but respect for his gramps though, touting Bob as “The Jay Z of his time” and while his musical style couldn’t be any more different, Pablo admits that artists like Eminem play a huge role in inspiring him, but also acknowledges that his grandfather is responsible for influencing the young rapper too. 

Only time will tell if Pablo will reach the same level of recognition as the senior Dylan, but in today’s 15 minutes of fame style culture it’s hard to say.
