Another year, another Assassin’s Creed movie -wait, what?
20th Century Fox and Ubisoft released our first look at the Assassin’s Creed movie. If you’re a fan of the games, this is all old hat. If you’re new, however, this is an interesting looking into the Abstergo Corporation.
Ubisoft has said that the movie takes place in the same universe as the games, but how much of an influence remains to be seen.

While fans of the franchise will be checking out the background for Easter Eggs and hidden references, much like the Assassin’s Creed counterpart games, people new to the story will have a loaded cast to watch.
Michael Fassbender plays Callum Lynch, who is a descendant of an assassin. He’s joined by Abstergo employee Marion Coltiard and ominous figure head Jeremy Irons. While we still know little of the plot, fans of the game can piece together a rough idea. After all, an Assassin’s Creed story is still an Assassin’s Creed story. It will be interesting to see how much divergence there will be from the traditional AC plot points. Ubisoft has mentioned that there will be some things that fans will recognize.

We could see an Ezio or an Altair make a cameo or an appearance, but in the world of the animus, anything is possible. If we talk about constants in Assassin’s Creed game, there’s one definite scene that has to be included in the movie. Jamie Smart tweeted it the best for all of us.
I hope in Assassin’s Creed there’s a scene where Michael Fassbender is trying to run away but keeps climbing on and off a low wall instead.
