Marvel Vs. Attack On Titan, NO SERIOUSLY!
C.B. Cebulski, Senior Vice President of Creative & Creator Development at Marvel has recently revealed something from his latest trip to Japan.
Not a joke, folks. Attack on Titan and the @Marvel universe are crossing over! In 2 weeks. In Japan. Want a teaser? pic.twitter.com/9AF5fqWLfX

Oh yeah! Marvel will be crossing over with Attack on Titan in Japan. The details are minute at this point and mostly come from Cebulkski’s Twitter feed. What we know is that there will be a Titan attack on New York and it will be up to the Marvel heroes to stop it.
This could actually be a fun miniseries if executed correctly. A good deal of the Marvel universe doesn’t approve of killing and it would be interesting to see how the different titans are used on the various set pieces. Imagine the likes of the smaller one to three meter sized Titans running around Xavier’s mansion attacking young mutants who are too scared to use their powers. Imagine Thor unleashing his full strength on a horde of massive fifteen meter titans.
Also, there’s still a great deal of mystery surrounding the Titans. Knowing that the Marvel universe has access to vastly superior scientists and researchers (Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, etc.) what will be revealed when the greatest minds of the Marvel universe start asking why this is happening?
This is something that could be a lot of fun if done just right and all of the fun angles are plotted out. It’s a bit concerning that this isn’t seeing a simultaneous release in North America and Japan considering just how commonly Japanese manga is pirated. It’s something that could affect sales beyond Japan should the crossover attempt to be published in North America.
For now we just have to wait and see what comes of this crossover.
