TNT Gets The Rights to Five Upcoming Marvel Movies

Get your DVRs prepped, because TNT has scored the rights to five upcoming Marvel movies which include Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America 3.  The other three films haven’t been named, but we can all sit around and take a few guesses. The most common guesses will likely be Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Ant-Man, which films do you think?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, each of the five films will have their premieres on TNT, probably two years after they are released in theaters, so we have a bit of a wait between films and such. TNT also recently landed the Divergent and Hunger Games franchises along with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, so they are on a roll securing some epic films to premiere on their network.

Deborah K. Bradley who is the senior VP, head of program acquisitions, content strategy and licensing for Turner Broadcasting System said, “Marvel’s brand of entertainment is a thrill ride for audiences, and we’re excited to be adding their next five blockbusters to TNT’s arsenal of high-quality genre fare…these movies will play a key role in TNT’s long-term success, especially among key adult demos.” It looks like TNT really wants a huge rise in their viewing with nabbing all these wonderful films. Which films would you like to see TNT acquire next?
