Vincent D’Onofrio will play Kingpin
There’s more big news out of Marvel as they make more casting announcements for Daredevil. Vincent D’Onofrio, best known for Law and Order: Criminal Intent and the movies The Cell and Men In Black has been cast as Wilson Fisk otherwise known as Kingpin. I think D’Onofrio is a great fit for the cunning mobster; with the diverse list of roles he’s played, he has the chops to be the big bad to Charlie Cox’s Daredevil. Kingpin was last portrayed by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in the infamous 2003 Daredevil film, but the character is also a villain to Spider-Man and has also been known to be an annoyance to the Punisher along with other Marvel heroes.
This is just another big announcement in a string of bold moves from Marvel, including the fact that Daredevil would be one of a series of Netflix exclusive shows, and that it would be filmed on location in Hell’s Kitchen. Perhaps the coolest piece of news is that the shows Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones that Marvel is producing for Netflix with ABC Television will all cross into a unique mini-series event and fans will get to see The Defenders.
What! That effing awesome!!!
