Molly Ringwald joins the truly outrageous cast of the Jem and the Holograms Movie
Molly Ringwald, star of the Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and many of your favorite 80’s movies, has been cast for the new movie adaptation of ‘Jem and the Holograms‘.
Jem and the Holograms was a cartoon that ran from 1985-1987, which had the stars actually making music videos in the cartoons, and the dolls actually came with music cassettes of songs played on the show. This was Hasbro’s way of competing with Mattel and their star toy: Barbie.
Also confirmed for the movie is , Aubrey Peeples (ABC’s Nashville, Sharknado) who will play the title character Jem, Ryan Guzman has been cast to play Jem’s love interest Rio, and, Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers, Kalifornia).
