Space Janitors and Cakes Cove Pie for Pi Day!

In recognition of March 14th, A.K.A. Pi Day (3.14), the award-winning Canadian Sci-Fi web series Space Janitors have teamed up with local geek and pastry chef Sam from Cakes Cove to create a super-scrumptious, literally out-of-this world pie cake – that’s right, a cake, decorated with the Pi symbol, with a pie baked into it. We are living in the future!

GEEKPR0N discovered Cakes Cove at FanExpo 2013 and conducted an interview shortly afterward, which you can check out here. After purchasing some of her chocolates, I can personally vouch that her geeky treats are just as delicious to eat as they are to look at.

This special episode of Space Janitors has the lovely Sam team up with Brian the fish for a tutorial on how to bake a pie-in-a-cake of your very own, the perfect treat for you nerds out there with a sweet tooth and lots of time on your hands. Make sure to get hungry and get even more creative, as the recipe calls for lots of sugar and even more adventure, with an infinity of options for flavour combinations to suit the palette of even the most picky eaters. This cake is most definitely not a lie!
