Gallery: Unplugged Expo 2 – A Weekend of Awesome!

This weekend we had the opportunity to be featured at Unplugged Expo 2 – A Weekend of Awesome and we had a blast! We had a lot of fun meeting all the fans and got some great shots of some of the many cosplays we saw through the weekend. Thanks to all those that participated in our little “photobooth” (even though I’m admittedly the world’s WORST photographer and only got the proper setting on my camera on the last day AFTER we finished shooting /facepalm).

This was Unplugged Expo’s second year as a con and already it tripled in size from last year. The space itself was pretty neat – a brand new community center in Toronto’s east end known as the Daniels Spectrum provided the space for the 3 floor con which gave the con a unique setup. The bigger panel rooms were actual proper auditoriums which was a welcome change from standard con panels, although they did have regular rooms for some of the smaller panels as well.

The main theme for this year’s con was the 25th anniversary of Sailor Moon. Not only was the con filled with Sailor Scouts, but they had the english voice cast from the show as well!

To help celebrate, we had our writers dress up as Sailor Scouts as well with some help from Sci Feye Candy as well who made us our custom Sailor G33KBOT costume and provided some of our writers with Sailor Moon bikinis.

We had an absolute blast and are so happy to be included in the fun. If you’ve been looking for a smaller, more intimate convention experience then we absolutely suggest in supporting Unplugged Expo. Let’s help grow our little community and support our local, indie geeks!
