Calling all Trekkies! Free screening of Star Trek Into Darkness!


Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto, transforms into a digitalized Trek haven thanks to CinemaNow™, a leading digital movie and television show service offering Canadians instant access to new release movies and TV shows. CinemaNow will be showcasing its suite of applications, including the newly launched Disc-to-digital service that gives customers the ability to transfer select DVD movies into digitalized formats for viewing anytime, anywhere.

In the evening, Star Trek will have a heavy presence alongside CinemaNow and will feature an out-of-this-world costume contest and free screening of Paramount’s Star Trek Into Darkness, one week before it launches onto blu-ray and DVD.

When: Tuesday, September 3, 2013
11:00 a.m. – 12 noon EST: Official media event launching CinemaNow’s Disc-to-digital service in Canada
11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.: CinemaNow demos and giveaways, including Star Trek collectibles
7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: CinemaNow’s Star Trek costume contest. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed, including a 47″ LG Smart HDTV(LN5750, worth $1,150) and hundreds of dollars in CinemaNow credit.
8:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Free screening of Star Trek Into Darkness. Seating provided on a first- come, first served basis. Standing room available.
